Position Title: People and Culture Manager
Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 DOE

Position Summary
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join our growing organization as the People and Culture Manager. This position is a new but integral role in the Administration department of Promises2Kids. The People and Culture Manager will plan, develop, implement and administer training programs for employees. This position will be promoting a culture of growth, productivity, and innovation all through the lens of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The manager will act as a liaison between departments providing training and support to volunteers, mentors, and youth to ensure a cohesive model across all areas. An area of focus will be on Instructional design, on-boarding and employee relationship building and engagement through the lens of DEI. This position will also be making sure the organization is in compliance with mandated state trainings along with creating and implementing robust leadership and management strategies. Other responsibilities include support and collaboration with the HR Manager as it relates to people and culture, such as recruitment, hiring, employee intake and orientations, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:
- Manages the assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the organization.
- Designs, develops, and presents various forms of on-boarding, orientation, and skills training for employees.
- Develops learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans.
- Reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives, and accomplishments.
- Creates training procedure manuals, guides, and materials.
- Champions the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion and ensures they are reflected in recruitment, hiring and on-boarding process.
- Makes assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance that can be measured
- Supports and co-leads training employees on HR issues, policies, and practices.
- Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall organization performance.
- Maintains knowledge of the latest trends in training and development.
- Maintain records of training and activities, attendance, etc.
- Prepares training budget.
- Support in the hiring process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Supports in the development and cohesiveness of trainings across the organization to include staff, volunteers, youth, and mentors.
- Support with annual employee performance review process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in developing DEI curriculums that drive impact throughout organization
- Two years of training experience
- Experience designing/creating and implementing effective curriculums and presentations.
- Understanding of office culture and team dynamics
- Able to engage and interact with a wide generational audience
- Advanced proficiency in computer skills including the entire MS Office programs including Outlook and MS Word, word-wide web, internet communication programs, and computer software programs. PowerPoint desirable.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communications skills.
- Solid writing, editing and presentation ability. Excellent proofreading skills.
- Must be engaging and a strong public speaker
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, complete tasks assigned.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and also remain “big picture” oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure, set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, diplomacy and tact.
